Notez que décrocher un emploi demande de répondre à des critères spécifiques fixés par l'employeur. Nous espérons que cette opportunité chez CNRS pour le poste de Post-doctoral Poste in renal physiology ci-dessous correspond à vos attentes.
A Postdoctoral fellow Poste is available in the Laboratory of Tissue biology and therapeutic engineering, CNRS, in the vibrant city of Lyon in France. The candidate will work on scientific projects exploring the molecular mechanisms involved in the adaption of the kidney to electrolyte disturbances (e.g acid/base balance, potassium and sodium balance) hence regulating crucial functions such as blood pressure, blood potassium and blood pH regulation.
Activities
The project combines the use of new genetically modified mouse model for cell lineage tracing and explore the involvement of a tyrosine kinase receptor in the adaptative response of the kidney to electrolyte perturbations. In vitro cell models will be implemented to decipher molecular mechanisms of renal epithelial cell plasticity.
Skills
We are seeking highly motivated and collaborative individual with demonstrated productivity. Applicants must hold a Ph.D (or M.D.) with 0 to 2 years of postdoctoral experience after the Dernier degree. Application from PhD candidates in their Dernier months before holding their PhD will be considered. Strong background in either 1) renal physiology (not mandatory and training could be provided), 2) extensive experience and autonomy in setting up and analyzing complex cell culture models (organoïds, 3D cell culture). We expect from qualified candidates good oral and written communication skills (French knowledge would be an asset). The candidate should be solution-orientated when facing daily lab and scientific challenges.
Work Context
The project will be developed in the team SKIN of the UMR5305. Our lab environment may provide you a path towards autonomy and expect you to apply to new funding support to sustain and develop your own ideas.
The Poste is fully supported by ANR project FateForA for two years. The project will be developed in close collaboration with a research group in Paris led by G. Crambert. Successful candidates will be offered a stipend commensurate with experience, as per CNRS regulations.
Constraints and risks
The access to the laboratory has a restricted access policy (ZRR). It means that the successful candidate records (CV, personal details and project) will be evaluated by the french education ministry for final decision of recruitment.
The recruitment is expected as soon as possible (April 2023) and no more than 01/09/2023.
Animal experiment licence level 1 or 2 will be an advantage.
