Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Artwork Coordination to lead our international team of Artwork Coordinators. This role is central to the management of artwork development and change processes across Cooper Consumer Health’s product portfolio, spanning multiple countries and regulatory environments. The Poste combines team leadership, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration, with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and timely delivery.
The Head of Artwork Coordination acts as the primary interface between the artwork coordination team, internal departments (Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Supply Chain, Quality, Packaging Development, internal manufacturing site), and external partners (CMOs).
The Poste is based in Monza (Italie), with frequent international travel required — especially to Paris (France)— to support team coordination and supplier interactions.
Reporting to: Head of Marketing CCHI
Scope of the role for CCHI:
Coordinate artwork updates with the graphic agency, preparing clear briefs based on inputs from the Artwork Coordinators team and from all projects impacting artworks, such as design/layout changes, regulatory variations (including safety updates), and other market-driven modifications.
Manage the review and validation of artworks, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance in collaboration with the Regulatory Manager.
Work with international distributors to anticipate and consolidate upcoming packaging changes (variations, safety updates, market adaptations).
Maintain artwork files and documentation within the dedicated artwork management system, ensuring traceability and proper workflow handover with Artwork Coordinators.
Secure timelines and support international product launches and updates, ensuring smooth cross-team communication and consistent packaging across markets.
Key capabilities:
Strong communication – external (distributors, creative/design agencies), internal (local marketing, Global marketing, artwork coordinators team, RA, innovation team, LCM team)
Ownership – leading artworks flow for all CCHI (volume of apx 800 LCM and/or Innovation projects per year)
Brand Marketing - understanding business context and brands strategy (in affiliates the role is managed by Pays marketing managers)
Project Management – understanding essentials of PM, process fluency, progress reporting, effective x-functional team management
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
10+ years of experience in artwork coordination, packaging development, or regulatory operations, preferably in the pharmaceutical or consumer healthcare industry
Proven experience in leading a team, with strong interpersonal, leadership, and coaching skills
Excellent knowledge of artwork and packaging workflows, from concept to print
Strong understanding of regulatory and quality requirements in a highly regulated environment
High level of organization, rigor, and resilience in managing complex projects under pressure
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels of the organization
Fluency in English and Italian (spoken and written) is required; ability to communicate effectively with international teams. Italian and French is a plus.
Technical Skills
Advanced user of digital artwork management systems (e.g. Veeva Vault, Adobe platforms, project management tools)
Strong command of Microsoft Excel (dashboards, pivot tables, formulas, tracking tools)
Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, etc.)
Ability to analyze performance data, propose optimizations, and implement operational solutions
Qualifications
Master’s degree or equivalent in Packaging, Regulatory Affairs, Life Sciences, Industrial Design, or related field
Prior experience in a matrix organization and international team environment is a strong asset
Experience managing interfaces with contract manufacturers, agencies, and external printers
